Client study - Wonder Water
Wonder Water is a mobile car valeting and detailing company based in Glasgow.
The owner of Wonder Water approached me to create a new corporate image and web site for his company.
Corporate identity
First port of call was to see what sort of clientele Wonder Water catered
to. Different target markets will often require different styles of logos
and corporate image. Most of the time this will be one of the first questions
we ask a new client.
Once we had discovered that Wonder Water catered for the higher end of the car valeting market we set about brainstorming a selection of logo ideas. These were then sent off for initial evaluation. Comments from the client were taken on board and the designs refined. This will be a familiar story if you have read some of the other client studies. We do not force a design upon a client. They are part of the process all the way along.
Two versions of the design were created; a wide, low version and a tall, narrow version. Often some applications need a different shaped logo to maximise size and impact.
In this instance the client used the wide logo across the rear of his vehicle and the taller logo on the side.
Website
Initially Wonder Water wanted a holding page giving a minor web presence. In time this will be expanded to a small, complete site. A holding page is a good
starting point as it gives potential customers a base point in which to find basic information about you if they ave seen your name or URL from fliers or van signage. It is not so good for search engine ranking or web based marketing.
This is another example of how we at creatopia honour the clients wishes without pressuring them into paying for things they do not want. We appreciate that, as a new business cash flow is a high priority. We will advise you where necessary but do not push the hard sell.
